TAIMYO FOR WORLD PEACE, August 5 and 8, 2005
with Shintaido Master Instructor H. F. Ito
August 5 and 8, 2005 7-9PM
On the memorials of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki events in Japan
Come join the Taimyo Network for Peace with Haruyoshi Ito, Master Instructor of Shintaido, doing TAIMYO, reaching around the world as others join in meditation on the anniversaries of two tragic events.
Taimyo means “Great Mystery’. Taimyo is a moving meditation that may be done standing or sitting and is readily adapted to a wide range of physical conditions and abilities. The form is practiced internationally for both inner peace and world peace: in Ito’s own words, “…across geographies, time zones, and states of consciousness…as a way to help heal ourselves, others, and the world.”
THE TEACHER. H. F. Ito’s teaching combines the mastery and discipline of decades of martial arts study with the humility and strength of a life consciously dedicated to peace. Since 1975, Ito has been teaching Shintaido around the world. Visit his website, www.ito.shintaido.org.
WHO SHOULD COME. These world-wide meditation sessions are open to all and are suitable for men and women of all ages and varying physical conditions. No previous experience necessary. By meditating together we work to advance very large goals, including world safety, world peace and freedom for oppressed persons everywhere.
